There are many reasons to get outside and exercise this winter:
- improve your mood and energy
- help manage your weight
- reduce stress
But now there’s a pretty special reason:
On October 1st, 2011, the Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer Tournament is hoping to raise money to fight the disease and local resident (and leukemia survivor) Dave Dexter has started a little revolution right here in Caledon East.
Dave and his friends have been playing road hockey in the community for years, and now can put their sticks to the streets for a good cause. Their group, the Marilyn Street Mob, hopes to raise $12,500 to go toward the $2 million goal of the tournament.
So visit www.teamuptoconquercancer.ca, click on the Find a Team icon, and donate today. Or, register now to participate!
You’ll not only be helping those fighting cancer – you’ll be helping your neighbour.
