Now that the warmer weather has arrived, you can start planning recreation and leisure activities with help from the Caledon Recreation & Leisure Guide for Spring/Summer 2011! In Caledon East, there’s something for everyone to do. Dance lessons are available for those who want to learn to groove; rock climbing is the perfect activity for adventurous souls; summer camps of all types are available for kids of all ages; or choose from a variety of fitness classes to keep you in shape. As Mayor Marolyn Morrison says, “An active lifestyle is easy to enjoy in Caledon!”
Not only do we have accessible programs for families in Caledon, we should not forget the beautiful town parks, and conservation areas such as Albion Hills and Glen Haffy, where families can enjoy nature hikes, playgrounds, sports fields, and picnics on a beautiful day in Caledon East. Caledon East Community Complex and the Caledon East Soccer Complex are also just steps away from Pathways with soccer fields, tennis courts and ball diamonds for everyone to enjoy.
Spring registration is underway right now, and summer registration begins Tuesday June 14th. An early bird rate is offered on selected programs to those who sign up a minimum of 14 days prior to the program start date. Family discounts are also available for families registering three or more children in the same session, to the least expensive program for the third and any subsequent child.
Registrations are accepted in person or by phone at the Recreation Department at Town Hall. Call (905) 584-2272 ext. 4235 or call the Caledon Centre for Recreation and Wellness at (905) 857-3313 for more details!
