What You Can Do With an iPad at Pathways

On May 2, one of the Pathways community members who participated in our Pathways Facebook contest will become the lucky owner of an iPad.

We’d like to take the opportunity to remind you all of the exciting times that lie ahead.

You could soon buy your home at Pathways. You will move in. You will decorate your new home. You will show your kids around Caledon East. You will go hiking. You will play sports. You will cook together with your significant other.

And during the whole experience, different iPad apps can help you make the most of your time. A few suggestions:

   1. Pathways features all sorts of paths. (Otherwise we wouldn’t have called it, well, Pathways.) It’s also close to some of Ontario’s most magnificent trails, so check out the iMapMyHIKE app, which tracks and logs your hikes and builds a Facebook- and Twitter-compatible online hike journal.

   2.  If you like to hike during the night, or simply stargaze from your backyard, Star Walk allows to point your iPad at the sky, filling your screen with a live view of the stars above you and giving  information on the moon, constellations, planets, and that green flying saucer that just landed on your grill. (Not really.)

   3. Entertain your children with apps such as Talking Tom (a cat that purrs when caressed) or any of Dr. Seuss’ apps.

   4. BigOven will make cooking with your loved ones a breeze. You can find recipes (the app lists over 170,000), bring up the list of ingredients, and create a grocery list in seconds.

Congratulations to our soon-to-be winner of this fabulous device!
