Don’t Miss Caledon’s First-Ever SnowFest

Fireman Samuel 3
Caledon's next chief fireman?

Monday isn’t just a statutory holiday — it’s Family Day.

It’s a day meant for everyone to spend time with their kids and their significant other. And what better way to do that than outdoors, having fun and engaging in enjoyable competitions for both children and adults?

The frame for these activities is provided by SnowFest, an event which is co-sponsored by Brookfield Homes and which involves fun activities such as:

• dog sledding,
• snowshoeing and skijoring,
• snow castles,
• ice sculptures,
• woodcarving,
• an “East meets West” hockey game,
• a “Chilly” Cook-Off, and
• a Firefighters “Olympic” Pentathlon, to be followed by a kids’ challenge.

Best of all, admission is free, plus Pathways is organizing a raffle with a prize consisting of dinner for two at the Consulate Dining Lounge.

Gates open at 10 am at the Caledon Fairgrounds (located at 18297 Hurontario Street), and the welcome ceremonies kick off at noon. Visit this site for more information and up-to-date event schedules.

Do you already have any plans for the long weekend? How does SnowFest fit in? We hope we’ll see you there!
